The State Duma has approved in the third reading a project of a Law which, if approved by the upper chamber of the State Duma and signed by President, will introduce some Unified Social Tax relieves for IT companies having more than 50 programmers and not less than 70% of turnover from sale of IT products. The law provides a new regressive tax scale under which 26% rate will be applicable to salaries of up to RUR 75,000 a year, 10% - to the amounts in excess of RUR 75,000 but not more than RUR 600,000 a year, and 2% - to amounts in excess of RUR 600,000.
