06.09.2007 - Starting from September 5, 2007 without any official announce or prior claims of authorized employees of state authorities, territorial employment centers of administrative regions have stopped to accept applications for obtaining of Resolutions of the Department of the state employment centre for Moscow. Employees of territorial employment centers make reference to the instruction of the Department of the state employment centre for Moscow which says about the interruption of weekly committees where they decide whether to issue the positive Resolution for employment of foreign citizens for further processing of Employment permit or not. This instruction is applicable for both cases: primary obtaining of Employment permits and for extension of the current Employment permits. According to the information we have, currently FMS officials are calculating the number of work invitation letters that have been processed since the beginning of the year 2007 so that they could realize if the quota has really been used. As far as we are aware, FMS officials suppose that they would be able to finalize the calculation within a month term. Consequently within this month (presumably till the beginning of October) the Department of the state employment centre for Moscow will not conduct the committee and territorial employment centers will not accept the applications from Companies hiring foreign nationals from ?visa countries?. Unfortunately we cannot even predict the possible outcome of the current situation so we only hope for the prudence of the state authorities and are waiting for the results of the calculation.
