10.01.2008 - On the 29th of December 2007 Russian Government has approved the quota for work permits for foreign nationals in the Russian Federation in the amount of 1.828.245. This number is the total amount which includes low qualified workers from Republics of the former Soviet Union and high qualified employees from visa countries. Out of 1.828.245 the number reserved for high qualified employees is 672.304 which is higher than in 2007. In 2007 the quota for Russia for high qualified workers was 318.752. Russian Government has doubled the quota for high qualified workers. At the same time decreased the quota for low qualified workers in 2007 it was 6 million.
