07.07.06 - On June 30, 2006 the State Duma in the third final reading passed a law which simplifies the registration procedure for citizens arriving in the Russian Federation from the CIS countries.
05.07.06 - Rental expenses should be confirmed with monthly acceptance acts says the Ministry of Finance in its Letter No 03-03-04/1/505, dated 7 June 2006. The Letter, however, contradicts, the Ministry?s previouse position expressed in its Letters No 04-02-05/1/33 and 03-03-01-04/1/86 dated back to 2004 and Letter No 02-1-07/81 of 5 September 2005 of the Federal Tax Service.

29.05.2006 - A new form of Migration Card has been approved by the Russian Federation Government Resolution No. 271 dated 06.05.2006.
Earlier the foreign citizens entering the Russian Federation territory often had difficulties when filling in the Migration Card effective at that time presented in the format as approved by the Russian Federation Government Resolution No. 413 dated 16.08.2004 as the text of the Migration Card form was exclusively in the Russian language.

04.04.2006 - On March 17, 2006 in the State Duma of the Russian Federation have passed in the first reading the following projected federal laws: ?On migration registration (record) of foreign citizens and persons without citizenship in the Russian Federation? and ?On entry of amendments into the federal law of the Russian Federation ?On legal status of the foreign citizens in the Russian Federation??.
The main contents of the projected federal law ?On migration registration (record) of foreign citizens and persons without citizenship in the Russian Federation?:
31.03.2006 - It has just become known that the Bank of Russia abolished the obligatory sale of part of revenue receivable by Russian companies in foreign currency. Besides it decreases by two times the reservation norms applied under some transactions with capital.
16.03.2006 - Russia?s gold and foreign currency reserves were $201.7 billion as of March 10, the External and Public Relations Department of the Central Bank of Russia reported.
13.03.2006 - At its meeting on March 2, 2006, the RF Government approved the draft agreement on visa facilitation between Russia and the European Union. This was made public by the Press Service of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The agreement provides for facilitation of the procedure and terms of issuance of the single entry visas with up to three-month validity period and multiple visas for certain categories of individuals.
